Week of April 18-22

This was our "Catch-Up Week" for those who have unfinished projects due to illness, etc.  The students were able to finish these projects so they won't have anything incomplete to take home in the portfolios. 

We are really gearing up for the Art Show!  Invitations will be sent next week and they are on blue paper...be on the lookout and put it on your calendars!  Also, some information about volunteering for setting up the art show will be coming home soon.  Please let me know by email or note if you can help.

Week of April 11-15

We are having so much fun this week choosing our masterpiece for the art show 2011!  The art show will be May 10th at the Bobby Miller Center.  This is a super special event for your children.  I do hope you will make every effort to attend...invitations are coming soon! 

Week of March 28-April 1

What a great week in art we had!  We worked hard on our MakIt plate designs...please order one of these original works of art by your child to keep forever!  These plates are dishwasher safe and will be a treasure to have.  See me if you have any questions or shoot me an email!  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Van Gogh week- completed projects

Hey TPS students and parents!  I hope everyone is having a great spring break.  We have finally finished our Van Gogh projects and I think you'll agree they are fantastic!  We have begun our study of Georgia O'Keeffe so be looking for wonderful flower paintings soon! 

Van Gogh Week- part two!

Please take the time to look at the photos of the students working on their Van Gogh projects!  They have really done some impressive work this week.  We will attempt to finish our projects next week.  They have learned many facts about Van Gogh's life and work.  They can probably tell you about these paintings on my blog!

Week of Feb. 14-18

We have learned so much about Vincent Van Gogh this week.  I look forward to seeing the students' projects as we begin them next week. 

Ask your child some facts about Van Gogh...he was an interesting artist!

Feb. 7-11

It is great to be back in the art room!  I missed all my students so much!  We worked on getting organized this week, finishing up our projects and having "Free Art".  New hallway displays are up.  Please make time to come by and see the wonderful artwork. 

For the next couple of weeks, we will be learning about Vincent Van Gogh and doing some pictures in his style.  The students always love learning about him!
